Also known as the Swiss Cheese plant, but different from the classic Monstera deliciosa, Monstera adansonii is a delicate trailing plant that develops holes (fenestrations) perfect for hanging baskets. Even though this plant looks beautiful trailing, it can be trained to climb if attached to a trellis or other support.
Plant Care
Monstera adansonii loves bright indirect light. Some morning sunlight is okay, but avoid exposing it to harsh afternoon sun as it will burn the leaves. The plant prefers well-draining soil, but do not wait until the soil dries out entirely to water it. If you notice that the plant is developing yellow leaves, you may have to be more consistent with its watering schedule. Finding a balance of not too much water but not letting it dry out for too long before watering is essential.
