Another funky cultivar, Hoya linearis, is a trailing Hoya with fuzzy leaves/stems. Native to the Himalayas, Hoya linearis likes lots of bright light and prefers more than the average home’s humidity to bloom. Some say it is a difficult hoya, but at Leila’s, we have her approximately 2 feet away from a south-facing window, and although she hasn’t bloomed, she is growing! It is the perfect trailing plant and a must in your collection.
Plant Care
Hoya linearis loves bright indirect light and well-draining soil. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight as it will burn the leaves. Although Hoya linearis does not like soggy soil, you shouldn’t wait until the soil dries out entirely to water (keep the soil a bit moist). This plant is tolerant of the average home’s humidity, but moderate to high humidity will allow it to grow healthier and longer. Place the plant near other plants or use a humidifier to increase humidity.
What to Expect
You will receive a beautiful Hoya linearis different from the one pictured since no two plants are alike. This item comes in a nursery pot.
Pet Friendly
The Hoya linearis is non-toxic.
