Maybe we lied when we said the VSOH is the most beautiful plant for hanging baskets. The Velvet Philodendron has velvety heart-shaped deep green and bronze leaves that will leave you stunned. There is a hint of shimmer to those beautiful leaves that have a deep red underside.

Plant Care
The Velvet Philodendron loves bright indirect light (no direct sun because it will burn the leaves) and well-draining soil. Let the soil dry out almost completely between watering, but don’t let the soil dry out too much. This plant is tolerant of the average home’s humidity, but more humidity will allow it to grow larger leaves. The Velvet Philodendron can tolerate lower light, but they need bright light to thrive and grow big lush leaves. If you notice the plant is getting leggy (long stems with no leaves), the plant needs more indirect light.
